Jamal Musiala is back in team training at FC Bayern after his serious injury and has now commented on his upcoming comeback
On Sunday, several Bayern stars were out and about on their traditional fan club visits. While Joshua Kimmich visited Altomünster and Harry Kane dropped in on the Red White Bombers in Denkendorf, Jamal Musiala visited the Red Bulls Taubenbach. During his reception in the Lower Bavarian community, he was also asked about his planned comeback date
As Sky reporter Kerry Hau reported from the scene, Musiala said that the test match against Red Bull Salzburg on January 6 was still too early for him, but that he wanted to be ready to play again „in the coming weeks“
Musiala also said about his comeback plan: „It’s not just my decision. If it was my decision, I would have played last month. We’re just making sure that I come in well and that I’m not worried about my foot or anything else.“
Neuer also confident
Manuel Neuer, who missed the last Bundesliga game before the winter break against Heidenheim with a torn muscle fibre, was also optimistic during his fan club visit to Tacherting-Emertsham that he would make a comeback in the Bayern goal in the near future. According to Sky reporter Torben Hoffmann, the Bayern keeper was „confident that I will be in goal against Wolfsburg at the weekend“. The 39-year-old had still trained individually on Saturday – probably purely as a precautionary measure
Alongside Neuer, Joshua Kimmich also missed the away game on the Schlossberg, having been sidelined by an ankle injury, which is why he also only trained individually on Saturday. According to information from Sky , however, the DFB captain should also be available again against Wolfsburg.
