Harry Kane wants to win the Champions League title with FC Bayern for the first time this season. Munich are currently on course to reach the round of 16 directly. Kane spoke about a possible CL triumph ahead of the Arsenal game
Harry Kane has yet to win the Champions League title in his career to date. The England international has narrowly failed to reach the final twice with Munich, while the centre-forward has usually been able to compete for the trophy with Tottenham. The 32-year-old is therefore certainly hoping for a major triumph with FCB this season
Before the top game at Arsenal, Kane spoke about the CL title at the press conference and emphasized: „It would mean a lot to me to win the Champions League, that would be incredible! We are one of the favourites, we learned a lot last season – for example, how we press in Barcelona.“
The Three Lions captain continued: „We’ve seen in the last eight or nine months that we’re much more consistent, we’re better. We look at the games and see the Barcelona game as a turning point, we learned a lot there.“
Kane impressed: Will Kompany lead Bayern to the CL title?

The German record champions are playing great football under Vincent Kompany this season. Kane is also impressed by the Belgian. „I have a high opinion of him, how he deals with us players, how we train, work, approach the games. He sets a good example of how a team should behave. He has brought the best out of me!“ the goalscorer explained
Under Kompany, the Munich side have usually stood out with their dominant attacking soccer. Kane explained: „That fearlessness to press high, not being afraid to go one-on-one, that mentality, that dominance – he’s given us all great confidence. I’ve been very impressed with how we’ve worked and I hope we’ll reap the rewards of that work this season.“
