Who will be FC Bayern’s new coach? TV pundit Dietmar Hamann believes that Julian Nagelsmann is currently ahead.
According to ex-Bayern professional Dietmar Hamann, Julian Nagelsmann is currently the top favourite to become the new coach at the German record champions.
TV pundit Hamann said on Sky about the rumours surrounding a possible return of the current national team coach: „From what I hear, that seems to be the most likely solution at the moment.“
Nagelsmann would thus inherit his own successor in Munich: The 36-year-old was released in March 2023 and FCB subsequently signed Thomas Tuchel. He has to step down at the end of the season. Bayern bosses are now looking for the next Bayern coach.
Freund: „I have a lot of faith in Julian“
On the fringes of Bayern’s embarrassing 3:2 defeat at newly promoted Heidenheim, sporting director Christoph Freund also commented on the status of the coaching search.
„The most important thing is to do the right thing, not the quickest thing,“ explained Freund on the Sky microphone: „But we won’t take forever. We will make a decision in the next few weeks.“
The Austrian continued: „We are in talks. It’s a very important decision. We want to find a coach who we can work with for longer than we have recently.“
Asked about Nagelsmann, Freund said: „Julian has been here before, it’s a special situation. We want to find the best person with whom we have the best feeling.“
He added: „I have a lot of faith in Julian. But there are also other coaches who I trust. It’s important to do the right thing.“
Other candidates alongside Nagelsmann currently include Roberto De Zerbi from Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League and the current Austrian national team coach Ralf Rangnick.

Und das kann JN mit seinem Standing nicht. Da braucht es erfahrene Trainer die eine natürliche Autorität haben, ausserdem muss dann auch die Führung hinter dem Trainer stehen nicht wie die letzten Jahre, wo sich Spieler beschweren, weil es ihnen nicht passt.
Das Problem das Spieler beim FCB zu viel Macht haben ist bekannt und damit muss Schluss sein. Zumindest wenn es so unerfolgreich läuft.
Genauso ist es.
Nagelsmann ist auch nicht der richtige.
Warum?
Ihm fehlt die natürliche Autorität.
Er ist auch wie Tuchel ein Agendatrainer. Charakteristisches Merkmal: eine 5% Siegchance mit eigener Agenda, wird einer 50% Siegchance mit Pragmatismus vorgezogen.
Weil Nagelsmann dafür bekannt ist nur ein Taktiker zu sein. Er wäre ein guter Dozent an der hennes weisweiler Schule oder eben bei hoffenheim, da wo man Mittelklasse Fußballer hat, denen er noch was beibringen kann.
Bei Bayern brauchst du einen erfahrenen (der entweder als Spieler alles erlebt hat oder als Coach) Coach, der in der Menschenführung ein gentlemen ist, auch trotz harter Entscheidungen. einer mit Stil a la guardiola oder heynckes. Das taktische ist ohnehin Standard, aber bei Bayern nicht wirklich im Mittelpunkt.
Das ist das was Tuchel und Nagelsmann halt auch fehlten.
Wieder die einfachste Lösung.
De Zerbi bekommen Sie nicht.
Nagelsmann bleibt am Ende übrig.
Und die Spieler können aufatmen.
Kein harter Hund.
So wird das wieder nichts.

Der Geeignetste ist Arne Slot.
Unter Nagelsmann war jedenfalls viel mehr Handschrift und defensive Stabilität vorhanden als bei Tuchel.
Im ersten Jahr war der FCB zwar im Pokal gegen ein starkes Mönchengladbach untergegangen und gegen ein kampstarkes Villareal unnötig ausgeschieden und „nur“ Meister geworden.
Im zweiten Jahr hat man ihn gefeuert, obwohl alle Ziele erreichbar waren und der FCB in der CL starke Auftritte hatte.
Als junger Trainer wird er sich weiter entwicklen und steigern.
Wenn das stimmt, werden die Spieler einen anderen JN kennenlernen, das hat man jetzt bei der N11 schon gesehen.
