With five goals and two assists in the last two games, Bayern superstar Harry Kane has really turned up the heat recently. After the gala against Mainz, the Brit got carried away with a declaration of love for FC Bayern.
„I enjoy playing every game. I enjoy the feeling, I enjoy playing for this great football club,“ enthused the 30-year-old after the 8:1 win against Mainz.
However, after the two strong performances against Mainz and Lazio, Kane made it clear that Bayern must not let up now: „We just have to go from game to game. We now have a little break, a week off. Then we’ll try to do the same next week.“
Kane chases Lewandowski record
With 30 goals in 25 appearances, Kane is having a fabulous season at FC Bayern. If the Englishman maintains his goal rate of 1.2 goals per game, Kane has a good chance of breaking the Bundesliga record of former Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski (41 goals).
Kane would like to continue his current scoring run against Darmstadt: „As a striker in the team, people naturally expect me to score goals, so I hope I can do that,“ emphasised the top scorer.
