Harry Kane is having an outstanding season at FC Bayern – and is once again arousing interest on the transfer market. In addition to FC Barcelona, Manchester United are now also said to be showing renewed interest in the English goalscorer. Meanwhile, Munich are working to tie the striker to the club on a long-term basis
With his impressive goal rate, Kane is currently one of the most dangerous attackers in world soccer. In the current season, the England international has scored 45 goals in 36 competitive matches for FC Bayern – a record that is also attracting international attention
Manchester United are not losing sight of Kane
According to information from British transfer expert Graeme Bailey, Manchester United are continuing to monitor the situation surrounding Kane very closely. The Red Devils are said to have already shown great interest in the summer of 2023, when the striker moved from Tottenham Hotspur to FC Bayern
According to Bailey, this interest has never really waned since then, with club owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe in particular said to be a great admirer of the England international and still dreaming of bringing Kane to Old Trafford one day
It is also believed in England that Kane would like to see out his career in the Premier League, a hope that is fueling expectations among some clubs that a transfer could still be possible in the future
Bayern are working on a contract extension

At FC Bayern, however, they want to hear as little as possible about this, as those responsible in Munich have repeatedly emphasized that Kane plays a central role in the club’s long-term plans
According to BILD, initial talks are already underway regarding a contract extension and although Kane is already one of the top earners in the squad with his current salary, Bayern are even said to be prepared to make further financial concessions to the striker
The 32-year-old’s current contract runs until the summer of 2027, so there is no immediate time pressure for the record champions, but they would still like to conclude an extension before the 2026 World Cup
Kane himself is said to be open to staying in Munich, but a quick decision is not to be expected – the goalscorer wants to take his time in choosing his sporting future
One thing is clear, however: as long as Kane continues to score in this form, interest from abroad is unlikely to wane. For FC Bayern, the coming months should therefore be all about retaining its most important goalscorer in the long term.
