Now the Gazzetta dello Sport has brought another name into play: Kerim Alajbegovic. The 18-year-old Bosnian is currently under contract with Red Bull Salzburg and is regarded as one of the most exciting talents in Austrian soccer
In the current season, the dribbling attacker has already scored 14 points in 34 competitive matches. In addition to FC Bayern, Juventus Turin and AC Milan are also said to be keeping an eye on the young attacker
Leverkusen have a decisive advantage
However, a transfer could be complicated for Munich. Alajbegovic already has a history in the Bundesliga, having been trained at 1. FC Köln and Bayer Leverkusen in his youth
It was only in the summer of 2025 that the attacking player moved from the Werkself to Salzburg for around two million euros, with Leverkusen apparently securing a buy-back option
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, those responsible at the Werkself have already decided internally to exercise this option
Alajbegovic is seen as an important building block for the future at Leverkusen and the technically strong attacking player could even be developed as a potential successor to Florian Wirtz in the long term
This would make a signing much more complicated for FC Bayern, who would first have to hope that Leverkusen would waive their buy-back option in the event of a transfer.
