After two games without a win, FC Bayern Munich were under pressure and responded with a clear home win against TSG Hoffenheim. After the final whistle, Harry Kane and Serge Gnabry spoke openly about the mood in the team.
The record champions ran out clear 5:1 winners at the Allianz Arena and showed a clear improvement, particularly in attack. After the recent results, the game was also important internally, as Harry Kane explained afterwards. „After two games without a win, there was some unrest in the team this week. It was important to stay calm. We have the full squad available, everyone is giving their all.“
The Englishman also described the course of the game and the phase following the sending-off against Hoffenheim: „We got into the game really well today. After the red card against our opponents, it took us about 20 minutes to adapt. Respect to them, they’re a good team. But we punished them for it and deserved the win.“
Kane sees decisive phase of the season coming

When asked about additional motivation from the competition from Dortmund, Kane remained sober. „Not necessarily this game. We’re approaching the end of the season. Every point counts now. We’ve seen that we can close the gap quickly.“ The striker also referred to the personnel situation: „We have a healthy squad and are still represented in all competitions. We’re in good shape. The season is only really starting now.“
Serge Gnabry also emphasized the importance of the past few days off the pitch: „We had a good week of training. We recovered well and were fresh today.“ That was particularly noticeable in the early stages: „The first 20 minutes were good.“
Despite the superior numbers, the attacking player still saw room for improvement. „We could have played a little better and scored more goals when Hoffenheim were down to ten. But we’re happy with the win.“ However, Gnabry did not want to see this as a deliberate sign after the previous point losses. „We always want to set an example. Of course, losing points hurts [gegen Hamburg und Augsburg], but the season is long and has many ups and downs. We always want to win, and things are looking good so far.“
