Shortly before the clash with Hoffenheim, Vincent Kompany gives an insight into the personnel situation at FC Bayern. The coach also comments on the situation surrounding captain Manuel Neuer and goalscorer Harry Kane.
On Friday, the personnel situation at the German record champions had caused some concern. While Harry Kane returned to team training after a cold, Manuel Neuer was absent due to illness. According to observations by BILD, the captain was not seen at the secret final training session – his participation in the match against Hoffenheim was considered questionable.
The all-clear followed on Saturday: „But no, everyone is back. And if that happens, which I think it will, then Manu will train today and then we will have the full squad available,“ explained Kompany at the pre-match press conference. This means that the 39-year-old goalkeeper should also be available again against TSG.
„The boys are fit“ – Kane ready for action

Harry Kane has apparently also fully recovered from his illness. The 32-year-old returned to full team training on Friday without any noticeable restrictions. Kompany confirmed: „So Harry was also ill at the beginning of the week, because maybe the question will come up. But well, the lads are fit and the energy in training was top.“
The England striker is one of the most dangerous players against Hoffenheim – he scored three goals in the 4-1 first-leg win. Kane has already scored a total of 36 goals in 32 competitive games for FC Bayern this season.
With the return of Kane and Neuer, Kompany is likely to have all his key players available on Sunday. The coach was satisfied with the week: „And we’ve enjoyed this week of training.“ Alongside the regulars, Raphael Guerreiro should also return from his calf injury. Konrad Laimer, on the other hand, is likely to miss out after tearing a muscle fibre.
The clash with Hoffenheim will be a real test for Munich, as TSG are in strong form – making it all the more important for FC Bayern to be able to field their best line-up.
