Givairo Read is regarded as one of the most interesting talents for this position at Säbener Straße and is highly rated internally. In recent weeks, there have been some suggestions that a potential transfer is already well advanced. However, this assessment has now been put into perspective
According to Sky, Bayern have held very concrete talks with the player’s side and have shown Read in detail what prospects they believe he has at the record champions. However, there can be no question of an imminent agreement. The Dutchman is under long-term contract with Feyenoord and does not have an exit clause – a circumstance that makes negotiations considerably more difficult
High transfer fee, clear conviction
According to Sky , the financial pain threshold for a potential transfer is well over 20 million euros, and a transfer fee of up to 30 million euros is considered realistic. A sum that Bayern would not invest lightly – and yet Read remains a player who is believed to be capable of strengthening the squad in the long term
His dynamism, athleticism and development curve fit exactly into the profile that the sporting management has defined for the future of the right-back position. Nevertheless, Munich are being deliberately cautious. A rash move is not currently planned
Boey as the key to the decision
The decisive factor in the Read poker is the current squad situation. Bayern are actually well-staffed at right-back at the moment – at least on paper. This is precisely what massively restricts the room for manoeuvre. As long as there is no departure, concrete progress in the Read case is hardly possible

Everton FC, Olympique Lyon and Olympique Marseille, among others, are said to be interested. However, there have been no concrete talks or even negotiations so far. A quick winter departure of Boey is therefore considered rather unlikely
