FC Bayern have dug deep into their pockets for Harry Kane – both in sporting and financial terms. The English superstar justifies this investment week after week with goals on the assembly line. Now a current salary ranking shows that Kane is also among the absolute European elite off the pitch
Munich transferred almost €100 million to Tottenham in the summer of 2023 to secure the services of the England captain, along with an annual salary of around €25 million – an amount that makes Kane one of the best-paid players in Europe
According to a ranking by the Global Stats portal, the 32-year-old ranks third among the top earners in the five major European leagues, with only Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland earning more at around €31 million a year
Manuel Neuer is the only goalkeeper in the top 10

For FC Bayern, Kane is therefore not only the sporting fixture in attack, but also a real heavyweight on the payroll. However, given his scoring rate and his influence on Munich’s game, this classification is hardly surprising
Remarkable from Bayern’s point of view: alongside Kane, another FCB professional, Manuel Neuer, is among the ten highest-paid players in Europe. The Munich captain is in ninth place with a reported annual salary of around €21 million, making him the only goalkeeper to make it onto this exclusive list. Even at the age of 39, Neuer is still in the top class, both financially and in sporting terms
Premier League dominates – Bayern prominently represented
The overall ranking is dominated by players from the English Premier League, who occupy four of the top 10 places. They are followed by the Spanish La Liga, which includes two former Bayern professionals in David Alaba and Robert Lewandowski. The fact that FC Bayern is represented twice in this salary elite with Kane and Neuer underlines the Munich club’s claim to be on a par with the financially strongest clubs in Europe
For Bayern, the maxim continues to apply: quality costs money – and in the case of Harry Kane and Manuel Neuer, it has paid off in every respect so far
