Hand money and exit clause remain sticking points

In other areas, however, things are largely clear. The French international is set to sign a new five-year contract with FC Bayern until 2031. The total package is said to include an annual salary of up to €20 million. However, this is not a fixed basic salary, but a sum including performance-related bonus payments
This would put Upamecano in the ranks of the top earners at Säbener Straße – a clear sign of appreciation for his development under Vincent Kompany, where the 27-year-old has matured into the undisputed leader of the defense
Bayern remain calm – decision open
Despite the unresolved issues, there is no actionism at Säbener Straße. Bayern are aware of the interest shown by numerous top European clubs, but do not want to be put under pressure. At the same time, the ball is now clearly in the court of Upamecano and his entourage
