Despite his Real dream: FC Bayern are planning a new mega-contract for Lennart Karl, who is set to stay in Munich for the long term
Lennart Karl‘s outspoken comments about Real Madrid have recently caused a lot of discussion. However, in sporting terms, everything currently points to the 17-year-old’s future remaining at FC Bayern – and in the long term. According to consistent media reports, Munich are already working on a new mega-contract for their biggest attacking talent
Karl is the big winner this season. Under Vincent Kompany, the youngster has not only established himself surprisingly quickly, but is now an integral part of the team. His performances have turned him from a talent into a key player – a status that has been registered at Säbener Straße
Although Karl had openly spoken of wanting to play for Real Madrid at some point during a fan club visit, these statements have not changed the strategic direction internally. On the contrary: Bayern want to tie the shooting star to them as early and sustainably as possible
Real Madrid? Karl is open to a long-term Bayern extension

Karl is currently on the verge of a formal move. He will come of age at the end of February, at which point his existing contract will automatically convert into a three-year deal until 2029. But that’s not the end of the story. According to Sport BILD, Munich are planning to offer the attacking player a new five-year contract until 2031 – including a significant financial upgrade
Sky has now provided further details, according to which Karl currently earns around two million euros per year. The new overall package is set to earn him up to eight million euros per year in future. Over the entire term of the contract, it would be worth up to 40 million euros – a clear sign of appreciation and a strong commitment from the club
The plan of Max Eberl and Co. is to extend the contract quickly, but so far there have been no negotiations in this regard. The club and player are concentrating on the second half of the season
Particularly noteworthy: despite his publicly expressed Real dream, Karl is open to a long-term extension at FC Bayern. Both the player and those close to him are said to be extremely satisfied with his sporting development, the trust placed in him by coach Kompany and the prospects in Munich
FC Bayern is thus making it clear how it plans for the future: Lennart Karl should not only be the face of the present, but also one of the faces of the coming years.
