The situation surrounding Sacha Boey continues to escalate at FC Bayern. The record champions are increasing the internal pressure on the right-back – and already have a possible successor in mind in the event of his departure
According to information from Sport BILD, Givairo Read is on Munich’s list as a potential replacement for Boey. However, the young right-back is clearly being considered as a summer option, not for the current winter transfer window, according to the report. This makes the route clear: Boey may still leave the club this month, but there are no plans to sign him directly in the short term
Bayern are pursuing a clear line: the Frenchman’s departure would only be possible as a permanent transfer, a loan is probably out of the question. Should Boey leave, those responsible want a clean break – both in sporting and economic terms. This also makes it clear that the 25-year-old no longer has any prospects under coach Vincent Kompany
