The test match between FC Salzburg and FC Bayern will be broadcast live and exclusively by FCB’s own streaming service FC Bayern TV PLUS. Kick-off is at 3 p.m. in Salzburg’s Red Bull Arena. Despite their clear victory last year, FCB will take their opponents seriously – after all, it is the only test during the entire winter break, which should prepare the team as well as possible for the tasks in the second half of the season

After an impressive first half of the Bundesliga season, Bayern are top of the table with 41 points and a goal difference of +44. Salzburg, on the other hand, have only won two of their last seven competitive matches and therefore urgently need a sense of achievement in the tough test against the German record champions
For Konrad Laimer and Dayot Upamecano, it will be a reunion with their former club. Laimer played in Salzburg from 2015 to 2017 before moving to the Bundesliga to join his colleagues from Leipzig. Upamecano, who also signed for Salzburg in 2015 and ended up at RB Leipzig in 2017, followed a similar path. Compared to Laimer, he arrived in Munich two years earlier with his move in 2021
