September 2025 continued to show FC Bayern in strong early form: Munich continued their dominance in the Bundesliga and also got off to a convincing start in the Champions League.
To kick off the month after the international break, the record champions swept Hamburger SV 5-0 from the Allianz Arena. Serge Gnabry opened the scoring early on, followed shortly afterwards by Aleksandar Pavlović. Harry Kane added a penalty and finished the scoring with his second goal after the break, with Luis Díaz also scoring for the hosts in between.
Bayern remained true to their form in the away game at TSG Hoffenheim, winning 4-1. Harry Kane was the outstanding man of the day, scoring just before half-time and converting two penalties after the break to complete a treble that put the record champions on the road to victory. Serge Gnabry added the final goal in stoppage time after Hoffenheim had reduced the deficit with a free-kick from Vladimir Coufal.
Bayern ran out confident 4-0 winners at home to SV Werder Bremen. Defender Jonathan Tah opened the scoring with an artistic finish, before Harry Kane scored twice from the penalty spot and shortly afterwards from an assist by Luis Díaz. Konrad Laimer rounded off the scoring with a composed finish to seal the win.
In the top flight, FCB started with a 3-1 home win against world champions Chelsea FC: An early own goal from Trevoh Chalobah put Bayern on the road to victory, Harry Kane converted a penalty and scored his second goal shortly after the break for a deserved win. The second group game against Paphos FC was a demonstration: Bayern won 5-1 in Cyprus with Kane, Bayern newcomer Nicolas Jackson and Olise among the scorers.
Another memorial for the „Kaiser“
Off the pitch, the club made an emotional statement in September: On 12 September, a larger-than-life statue of Franz Beckenbauer was unveiled in front of the Allianz Arena. The ceremony took place in the presence of the club management, former teammates and the family of the „Kaiser“ and paid tribute to his legacy for FC Bayern.
Thus ended a successful month with five wins in five competitive matches, 21:3 goals and the clear impression: FC Bayern is in top form early on.
