FC Bayern is expanding its infrastructure and at the same time creating a new home for its women’s team
As reported by tz, the Unterhaching town council has unanimously approved the sale of the Unterhaching sports park to „Allianz Arena München Stadion GmbH“, a wholly-owned Bayern subsidiary. The decisive notary appointment is already scheduled for next Tuesday, after which the club will issue an official statement
The original purchase price of €7.56 million was adjusted slightly in the course of the final talks due to static and structural problems in the east stand, which necessitated an inspection and possible renovation measures
FC Bayern therefore negotiated a reduction of 250,000 euros – a circumstance that ultimately did not provoke any opposition from the local council. The decision was unanimous, underlining the broad political support for the sale
The sports park becomes the new home of the Bayern women
With the acquisition of the Sportpark, FC Bayern is opening a new chapter in women’s soccer. The women’s team of the German record champions, which previously played at the Bayern Campus and the Allianz Arena, will use the Sportpark as a permanent home stadium in future
The club is thus creating a clearly defined venue that represents a major step forward in terms of both infrastructure and atmosphere
The Unterhaching location also offers optimal connections, an already established sports infrastructure and potential for future modernization – an investment that FC Bayern is using strategically for the further development of its women’s soccer
By taking over the sports park, the record-breaking champions are sending out a clear signal for their women’s team – and investing in a long-term, professional home that favors both sporting and structural development.
