Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart was one of the best players in the league this season and was only beaten by Harry Kane in the race for the top scorer’s crown. So it’s no wonder that the striker has attracted the interest of several top teams. The 28-year-old is also rumoured to still be on Bayern’s radar.

As reported by Sky, the Guinea international is still on the radar of the German record champions. Whether a potential move to the Bavarian capital could materialise, however, depends on new Bayern coach Vincent Kompany and his planned system, according to the report. If the Belgian opts for a two-striker system, a transfer of Guirassy would certainly be conceivable.

However, if Kompany were to stick with a system with just one striker, a Guirassy transfer to Munich would be extremely unlikely. According to Sky, the 29-year-old wants to be guaranteed playing time and has no intention of having to queue up behind Harry Kane. However, the German record champions will probably not be able to avoid the England captain in the coming season.

Is Guirassy moving to BVB?

However, Guirassy could move to another club in the Bundesliga. He is also a transfer target for Borussia Dortmund. There would be no overwhelming competition for him, which would give him a great chance of playing a leading role in the BVB squad after last season. BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl is said to have already held initial talks with the VfB star. According to reports, Dortmund have already made an offer for a four-year contract.

Guirassy became the Swabians‘ absolute top striker last season. In the Bundesliga alone, he scored 28 goals in 28 games played, plus two assists. The striker’s contract in Stuttgart runs until the summer of 2026 and is said to include a buy-out clause of €18-20 million.
