Crazy package! This is how well Tuchel negotiated the Bayern split

After FC Bayern had recently negotiated with Thomas Tuchel in order to extend a possible engagement between the two parties, it is now clear that the 50-year-old will not be on the Munich touchline next season. Despite the separation already discussed in February, Tuchel will continue to receive an attractive financial package from the Munich club beyond the end of the season.

As reported by Sky, Tuchel will receive well over €10 million in compensation from Bayern. Furthermore, the entire coaching team will receive their full salaries until 30 June 2025. The 50-year-old will nevertheless be released from his contract with the German record champions, meaning that a potential new club for the coach will not have to pay any compensation costs to Munich. This means that he can move on a free transfer in any case.

Tuchel will receive his full severance pay from the German record champions in any case, even if he joins a new club in the summer. Until this happens, however, the coach is only on leave of absence at Bayern. Meanwhile, the Bayern bosses must continue to look for a new coach.

After negotiations: Tuchel leaves the club and cashes in

It was only last week that Tuchel himself announced that he would not be staying in Munich beyond the end of the season. The coach confirmed that they had sat down together after the bitter elimination in the Premier League, but ultimately failed to reach an agreement. The separation of the parties was already communicated last February, but due to the faltering search for a coach, a further collaboration with Tuchel was considered.

Bayern are therefore not only losing another coaching candidate for the coming season, but will also have to pay Tuchel a large financial package as compensation. In the meantime, the 50-year-old can look forward to a new job as well as a generous severance package – and in this case could even collect twice as much.
