FC Bayern are in advanced negotiations to sign Assan Ouedraogo from FC Schalke 04. However, a special agreement could be reached. According to the agreement, the young attacking player will initially remain with S04.

According to the German newspaper tz, a possible deal between FC Bayern and Schalke would see Ouedraogo remain in Gelsenkirchen on loan for a further year so that he can complete his A-levels in his home country. This would also give the youngster himself the opportunity to play a full season after his serious injury (syndesmosis ligament rupture).

According to the paper, Schalke would like to sell the U17 world champion this summer in order to profit financially, but at the same time keep him in order to have his sporting qualities in the team for another season. He could then take off with more experience at the German record champions. Bayern have reportedly offered the strong midfielder a contract until 2029.

Leipzig want Ouedraogo immediately

While Bayern have agreed to the loan proposal, league rivals RB Leipzig want Ouedraogo in their ranks immediately. Various English clubs have also put out feelers for the young talent. However, Ouedraogo is keen to continue his career in Germany. The player has a release clause for Champions League clubs, which is said to be less than 15 million euros. This should make him one of the most attractive targets during the summer transfer window.

Ouedraogo, whose future has been in limbo for several months, has announced that he intends to make his decision by mid-June.

    1. Es las sich letztens so dass der FCB für die ak übernimmt, ihn aber weiterhin bei uns lässt damit er weiter an den Profibereich herangeführt wird. Der braucht noch massiv Förderung. Und die kann er in München leider nicht finden..
