With a market value of 110 million euros each, Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz are by far the most valuable players in Germany. Both are playing an outstanding season and are developing into absolute world stars. Fans and experts have recently been discussing more and more frequently which of the two is the better player.
Stanisic decides between Musiala and Wirtz
Josip Stanisic had the pleasure of playing with both youngsters. The FC Bayern youngster was loaned out to Bayer Leverkusen last summer, where he celebrated the first championship in the club’s history alongside Wirtz.
In a post on the club’s YouTube channel, the 24-year-old was asked the following question: Musiala or Wirtz? After a pained smile and a few seconds of deliberation, Stanisic decided in favour of Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz.
Strong season for the mega-talents
Wirtz has been one of the outstanding players in Leverkusen’s championship-winning team this season and has played a decisive role in ensuring that the Werkself are still unbeaten and have a realistic chance of a treble season. In 46 competitive matches, the 21-year-old has scored 18 goals and provided 19 assists.
Musiala, on the other hand, is one of the few bright spots in a disappointing season for the German record champions. The attacking midfielder continues to impress with his superb dribbling and has scored 12 goals and provided 8 assists in 38 competitive appearances.
