FC Bayern continues to plan the squad for the coming season. One player who was loaned out this season will no longer be part of the squad. The German record champions have announced his departure.

Malik Tillman is moving permanently from FC Bayern to Dutch first division club PSV Eindhoven. The 21-year-old attacking player moved from FC Bayern to the Eredivisie on loan in the summer and has now been signed permanently by the club. Tillman still had a contract valid until 2026 in Munich. In Eindhoven, he has now signed a new contract until June 2028.

Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said of the deal: „Malik Tillman came to FC Bayern as a youth player, developed into a professional over the years and has now become a key player in Eindhoven. He continues the long list of young talents who have made their mark in professional football after training at FC Bayern.“

The Austrian continued: „We wish him every success and all the best for the future.“

Transfer fee of 12.5 million euros?

The amount of the transfer fee that Eindhoven are transferring to Munich has not been officially announced. However, according to information from Sky, FCB will receive a transfer fee of 12.5 million euros from Eindhoven – this is probably the purchase option that the club was guaranteed in the loan contract for Tillman.

According to the Sky report, the Bayern bosses were unable to show the player any reasonable prospects, hence the transfer to PSV. Bayern have, however, secured a buy-back option and a matching right for Tillman.

Tillman joined the German record champions‘ youth academy from SpVgg Greuther Fürth in 2015. He played 25 competitive matches for Bayern’s second team, scoring nine goals in the process. Tillman appeared in seven competitive matches for the Munich professionals and scored one goal.
