Will Florian Wirtz end up at FC Bayern? The bosses of the record champions are apparently determined to go ahead with the mega-transfer – and are well aware that it will be anything but cheap.
Everyone wants Florian Wirtz. Every top club in Europe is interested in signing the attacking youngster from Bayer Leverkusen. Including Bayern – that’s no longer a big secret.
According to information from BILD, Munich are determined not to allow Wirtz to move to a foreign club. The German record champions want to sign the international in the summer of 2025.
Uli Hoeneß had already hinted at this recently. According to FCB’s honorary president Hoeneß, FC Bayern could „spend 100 million euros once on a Harry Kane, perhaps again on a German player, but not four or five times“. This German player is said to be Wirtz.
According to BILD, Bayern are aware that they will have to spend over 100 million euros on the German international. There is therefore no chance of Wirtz leaving Leverkusen this summer, which is why they are planning a deal in the summer of 2025.
Transfer fee for Wirtz? Carro puts 150 million in the room
Leverkusen boss Fernando Carro recently revealed the amount Bayer would be willing to negotiate with Wirtz: „We would never let Wirtz go for less than 150 million,“ he said in the Spanish newspaper Marca. A few days later, however, Carro rowed back: it had not been a good idea to name a specific amount.
Carro categorically ruled out a transfer next summer: „We have a very good relationship with his parents. Their idea is for him to continue with us. In football, you can’t plan much longer than a year, but next season he will be playing in Leverkusen,“ he said.
