FC Bayern are said to have found what they were looking for in Ralf Rangnick in their search for a coach for the coming season. However, some fans of the German record champions do not like this choice at all, which is why they even started a petition to keep Thomas Tuchel as coach. However, despite the fans‘ approval, he is said to have ruled out staying on beyond the summer.
According to BILD, the Bayern coach has no intention of remaining on the Bayern touchline next season. The 50-year-old has accepted the club’s decision to extend his contract. According to sources close to him, Tuchel has had enough of his job at Säbener Straße. Instead, the Bayern coach is aiming for a job in the Premier League, and talks with Manchester United are said to be underway.
Moreover, when asked whether there was a chance that Tuchel would stay at Bayern, the answer from the Bayern bosses was always a clear „no“. The decision of those responsible has been finalised, especially as the reasons for the separation are still seen as justified. However, some Bayern fans might not like this decision.
Bayern fans launch petition against Tuchel
After reports recently made the rounds that the German record champions were close to reaching an agreement with ÖFB coach Ralf Rangnick, Munich supporters made their opinion clear. „We don’t want Rangnick,“ wrote the fans, campaigning for Tuchel to stay.
In the wake of the new developments surrounding the appointment of the coach, Bayern fans launched a petition to prevent a separation with Tuchel. Signatures are currently being collected against the appointment of Rangnick and in favour of Tuchel. Despite the support from his own ranks, staying with the 50-year-old is probably not an option.
