Aleksandar Pavlovic has developed from a ball boy at FC Bayern into one of the club’s greatest hopes for the future. He himself still finds his rapid rise difficult to comprehend.

It was just over a year ago that Aleksandar Pavlovic was allowed to make his debut for Bayern’s amateurs in the regional league. Now he is an integral part of the professional team at his training club. When asked whether he sometimes has to consciously take time to reflect, he explained in an interview with the club’s own homepage: „I really struggle to realise that sometimes. A year ago, I played my first men’s game at the Grünwalder Stadion and now I’ve already played 16 games for the first team. But I just think from game to game and don’t look back too much on the past.“

Today, Pavlovic is not only an important building block at FC Bayern, the 19-year-old has also attracted the interest of national team coach Julian Nagelsmann. Although he didn’t play in the last international break due to illness, he describes the past few months, including the national team call-up, as „not only the most intense, but also the best time in my life. I’m currently savouring every single moment. It’s so much fun to be on the pitch with these outstanding players at my favourite club.“

Will Aleksandar Pavlovic play against FC Arsenal?

Pavlovic was in the squad for the quarter-final first leg against Arsenal FC after a lengthy illness, but spent 90 minutes on the bench. However, he could well be in with a chance of starting in the second leg after playing almost the entire match against Cologne. He himself says he is doing well and was extremely pleased to be back on the pitch against Cologne.

The Munich native is particularly looking forward to the game against Arsenal: „It will be the biggest game I’ve been involved in so far. I feel a good mixture of excitement and anticipation and am convinced that we will make it through.“
