FC Bayern has once again been plagued by massive injury problems. Two days before the Champions League clash against FC Arsenal, however, there is positive news from Säbener Straße.
A total of five potential regulars for the German record champions were absent against Heidenheim. These personnel worries did not help the Munich team at all. After losing 2-0 to Borussia Dortmund last week, they failed again against 1. FC Heidenheim.
The Reds‘ renewed slump in form offers little hope for the upcoming Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal. At least the squad against the Premier League club is likely to be broader than against the Bundesliga promotion contenders.
Munich’s injured players made significant progress during the Bundesliga defeat. As reported by BILD, captain Manuel Neuer was able to resume „full goalkeeper training“ at Säbener Straße

The 38-year-old was injured during the international break (torn muscle fibre) with the DFB squad and has been out since then. A start against the Gunners seems a distinct possibility.
Pavlovic threatens to miss out
Leroy Sane, Noussair Mazraoui and Kingsley Coman also appear to be fit in time for the clash against Arsenal. All three were able to take part in regular team training on Sunday.

Aleksandar Pavlovic, meanwhile, is still struggling with a flu-like infection. According to Sky reporter Kerry Hau, it is highly unlikely that the 19-year-old will make the trip to London.
