FC Bayern brought Bryan Zaragoza to Munich early in the winter in response to ongoing injury concerns. So far, however, the Spaniard has failed to get going. In the meantime, the winger has even been rumoured to be leaving in a flash. Whether this comes to pass is likely to depend largely on the new coach of the German record champions.

Media reports have recently been doing the rounds suggesting that Bryan Zaragoza’s time in Munich could come to a swift end. Various clubs from Spain, including FC Barcelona, are rumoured to be interested in loaning the pacey dribbler.

As reported by Sport BILD, it will primarily be Thomas Tuchel’s successor who decides whether Zaragoza will remain at FC Bayern next season.

If the new coach has no use for the Spanish international, a summer departure is therefore quite conceivable. A loan to a club that can guarantee Zaragoza the playing time he needs to further his personal development is a possibility.

Difficult situation at FC Bayern

When Bayern signed Zaragoza in the winter, Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman were out through injury. However, the 22-year-old did not prove to be an immediate help. Zaragoza has played just 35 minutes so far. Both attacking stars are now fit again, meaning that the prospects of playing time for Zaragoza continue to dwindle.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel recently explained the winter signing’s limited playing time with the existing language barrier: „We brought the transfer forward in order to have more time and played it safe. First and foremost, Bryan lacks the language, which is an elementary factor. It’s difficult in English and difficult in German.“

However, Bayern bosses Max Eberl and Christoph Freund are said to still believe in Zaragoza’s potential. According to reports from Sky, there was a meeting with the player recently in which they expressed their confidence in him.

Zaragoza himself is said to feel comfortable in Munich despite the difficult situation for him. His contract with FCB runs until 2029.
