Jamal Musiala has been in absolute top form in recent weeks. Even though Bayern are struggling this season, the 21-year-old is dreaming of a happy ending.
After strong performances in the Bundesliga, Bayern super talent Jamal Musiala has also impressed in the German national team jersey of late. In the two test match victories over France (2:0) and the Netherlands (2:1), the youngster scored a goal in each match. In addition, the attacking all-rounder repeatedly created danger in the opposition penalty area with his inimitable dribbling.
But before Musiala and Co. head to the European Championships in their home country, the exceptional player will first have to bring his season with FC Bayern to a close. While the record champions have already been knocked out of the DFB Cup and the 2-0 defeat to BVB has put the championship in Munich out of the running, the Champions League is Bayern’s last hope of winning the title.
„Anything is possible“ in the Champions League
FC Bayern will face FC Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Even though the Gunners are having a strong season, Musiala is optimistic about the upcoming clash: „I have the mindset that we can beat any team. There are teams that have better seasons than us. But I would never go into a match and be afraid of the opposition.“
According to the youngster, the fact that Bayern have to play in London first is a particular advantage: „We can secure a place in the semi-finals with the second leg against Arsenal in our Allianz Arena,“ said Musiala.
Even though Bayern have had a season with many ups and downs, the German international is hoping for a happy ending in the top flight: „I dream of a final at Wembley Stadium.“
