The 2-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund is causing a lot of unrest at FC Bayern. Thomas Tuchel is also once again the focus of criticism. According to TV pundit Dietmar Hamann, those responsible in Munich should seriously consider sacking the 50-year-old immediately.

The mood at FC Bayern is one of crisis – and not for the first time this season. The home defeat in the top match against BVB raises many questions. Questions that seemed to have been answered recently.

The anaemic performance against Dortmund shortly before the important Champions League clash shocked more than just the club’s own fans. President Herbert Hainer emphasised that this was not the FC Bayern they knew. Chief Sports Officer Max Eberl appealed to the FCB stars and explained that everyone must realise which jersey they are wearing.

According to Sky pundit Dietmar Hamann, Bayern bosses will have to give serious thought in the coming days to whether they will stick to their plan to end the current season with Thomas Tuchel. The former Bayern professional even goes so far as to call for a change of coach before the quarter-final against Arsenal (9 April).

„I’m thinking of a Mourinho“

„Arsenal are a good team, but still very inexperienced at this level. And now we have to see whether this is currently the best possible constellation to progress against Arsenal. For me, the management must ask themselves whether they will go into the next few weeks with Thomas Tuchel,“ he emphasised on Sky90.

The 50-year-old brought Jose Mourinho into play as a short-term interim solution: „I’m thinking about a Mourinho. You can think what you like about Mourinho, but at Chelsea, for example, the players loved him. He’s also an excellent man professionally.“

According to the report, the Portuguese could be given a short-term contract until the end of the season and, if he performs well, could negotiate a further partnership. Mourinho has been repeatedly rumoured to be on the German record champions‘ radar in recent weeks. According to information, however, the unassociated coach is not an option in Munich.
