Will Leroy Sané stay with FC Bayern? The winger wants to decide on the further course of his career after the European Championship tournament. In view of his recent statements, however, there seems to be a clear trend.
Even though Leroy Sané missed the two international matches against France and the Netherlands due to suspension, the 28-year-old paid his DFB colleagues a visit in Frankfurt yesterday (Tuesday) and supported the DFB team in their 2:1 win against the Elftal at Deutsche Bank Park.
In an interview with RTL, Sané also spoke about his sporting future and gave some interesting insights:„Next year we have a final at home, like the home European Championship, that’s something big that I definitely want to experience,“ he explained.
Sané wants to stay at FC Bayern
The sentence that made Bayern fans sit up and take notice was delivered by Sané afterwards:„I feel very, very comfortable in Munich, I have goals with the club.“ Is that a clear indication that Sané has decided to stay with the German record champions and will therefore not be part of the personnel upheaval? The club, or rather those responsible at the club itself, have probably seen the contribution that the 59-time Germany international can make to FCB during the current season.
sané has made 25 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring 8 goals and providing 11 assists. Eight appearances in the Champions League (1 goal and 1 assist). The Essen-born striker’s contract runs until 30 June 2025 and those responsible are open to an extension in principle, but are struggling with the winger’s lack of consistency. Sané’s salary, which is rumoured to be around €20 million, is also a potential deal-breaker.
