Is FC Bayern poaching at VfB Stuttgart this summer? Chris Führich is said to be at the top of the wish list for the Munich club.
Bayern are getting serious: As reported by Sport BILD, the Bayern bosses have intensified their interest in VfB star Chris Führich. According to the newspaper, the DFB international is at the top of the transfer list for the summer.
According to Sport BILD, Führich fits perfectly into Bayern’s profile. Max Eberl and Christoph Freund are looking for „hungry players“ with whom the fans can identify. Another advantage: club patron Uli Hoeneß is also said to like the player, which should certainly make discussions at Säbener Straße a little easier.
and therefore Max Eberl and Christoph Freund want to ensure that the 26-year-old decides in favour of a move to Munich in the summer. This is despite the fact that the winger only recently extended his contract with VfB until 2028.
Führich has an exit clause in the summer
Even though Führich only recently extended his contract with VfB until 2028, Bayern could strike in the summer. The reason: the shooting star is said to have a fixed exit clause of €23.5 million – provided Stuttgart qualify for the Champions League. Without participation in the premier class, Führich will be even cheaper.
Bayern are not without competition, however: Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig have also shown interest in the winger. A move to Dortmund could appeal to Führich simply because he comes from Castrop-Rauxel and played for BVB, Schalke 04 and Bochum in his youth.
