Double misfortune for Bayern star Sacha Boey: after the winter signing has been out since mid-February due to a torn muscle fibre, the next injury has now followed. It is now known how long the 23-year-old will be out for.
Sacha Boey tore a muscle bundle in his left hamstring in training on Wednesday and will miss Bayern for the next few weeks. After the club opted for this neutral wording, BILD has now reported that the Frenchman will be out for six weeks! This means that the right-back will not be ready to start training again until 1 May.
Torn muscle bundle: season out for Sacha Boey?
Considering that some time is also needed for regular team training, the question arises as to whether the 23-year-old Frenchman will still be playing for FCB at all this season.
Bayern have exactly three Bundesliga games left in May. On 4 May, FCB will face Stuttgart in the league before their final home game of the season against Wolfsburg on 12 May. On 18 May, the Bundesliga will end for the German record champions with a visit to TSG Hoffenheim.
Bayern have invested around 30 million euros in the defender. A sum that has not yet paid off. 81 minutes at left-back against Leverkusen and just under half an hour at right-back against Mönchengladbach – Sacha Boey has not made any more appearances in FCB kit to date.
