Raphael Guerreiro leaves the game in Bayern’s 5-2 win over Darmstadt with an injury to his left anterior thigh. The diagnosis is a small muscle fibre tear. The left-back will therefore have to rest for a few weeks.
Guerreiro suffered his third muscle injury of the season in the game against Darmstadt 98. There is now little hope that the Portuguese will return to the pitch against his former club Dortmund after the international break.
According to Sport BILD, the 30-year-old will be out for a fortnight. This means he will also not be travelling to the Portuguese national team. There is no end to his muscle injuries. He tore a muscle bundle in his right calf at the start of the season and missed two months with the team. This was followed by the same injury at the beginning of October. Back then, Guerreiro missed just over four weeks.
Most recently, Guerreiro fought for the position of left-back against Alphonso Davies. However, the Canadian is likely to start from the beginning in the coming weeks.
