The search for a coach at FC Bayern is currently a hot topic. Many well-known names are being linked with the record champions. Including Jose Mourinho. However, the Portuguese is possibly in negotiations with another team.
Jose Mourinho has learnt German in the past. The coach has made no secret of this. That is why he has been repeatedly linked to FC Bayern by various media.
According to Goal Arabia, the 61-year-old is in close contact with a top club from Saudi Arabia. The club in question is Cristiano Ronaldo’s team, Al-Nassr. Last year, the club brought in Luís Castro, one of Ronaldo’s favourite coaches. The now 62-year-old moved from Botafogo FR in Brazil to Saudi Arabia at the time, despite leading the league. Now, however, he could be replaced by his compatriot.
Mourinho: A coach with guaranteed success
With his many successes, Mourinho is one of the best coaches in the professional game. Together with AS Roma, he reached the Europa League final last season, which was lost on penalties. They made it into the Euro League thanks to their success in the newly founded UEFA Conference League in 2022. He won his first Champions League title with FC Porto in 2004, right at the start of his head coaching career.
Six years later, he won it with Inter Milan against FC Bayern Munich with a 2:0 victory. His CV still includes countless titles, including winning the Europa League with Manchester United in 2017.
According to Sky, Mourinho is currently not an issue in Munich. „The Special One“ was previously sacked by AS Roma in January after 13 wins from 28 games. It is still unclear where he will sign on next. However, it is very unlikely that he will be seen on the Bayern bench. At the moment, Bayern’s main focus is said to be on Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen.
