Bayern brought forward the summer transfer of Bryan Zaragoza in the winter due to the injuries to Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman. However, the winger, who moved to Munich from Granada FC, got off to a slow start. The question now is what will happen with the 22-year-old.

Zaragoza’s early days in Munich may not have gone smoothly, particularly due to the language barriers. Nevertheless, the Spaniard has clearly been backed by those in charge at Bayern. Coach Thomas Tuchel recently emphasised that the winger, who has only made two brief appearances so far, still needs time to integrate. „We recognise his quality, but Bryan primarily lacks the language. That’s why we’re giving him more time,“ said Tuchel.

According to Sky, Bayern bosses Max Eberl and Christoph Freund met with Zaragoza last week. Their clear message to the new signing: „We believe in you! Stay patient, work hard – then you will become an important part of the team in the new season under the new coach!“

This reassurance should give Zaragoza additional motivation to assert himself in Munich. According to the report, a transfer next summer is currently not on the cards.

Zaragoza feels at home in Munich

The 22-year-old scored six goals and set up two more in 21 games for relegation-threatened FC Granada in the first half of the season. He also stood out as one of the strongest dribblers in the league. His move to the Isar was accompanied by great anticipation.

Even if Zaragoza imagined his start to be different, he feels at home in the team and the city, according to Sky. The language barrier is alleviated by the support of Adam Aznou and Javier Fernandez, two young players from the U19s with Spanish roots who regularly train with the professionals.
