The name Jeremie Frimpong has been circulating around FC Bayern for some time now. According to the latest reports, the Dutchman could become a hot topic at the record champions this summer.
In Sacha Boey, Bayern signed a new right-back in the winter for just under 30 million euros. FCB also have two other candidates for the right side of defence in Noussair Mazraoui and loan returnee Josip Stanisic. Nevertheless, it seems that Munich are not really satisfied with their personnel line-up.
As reported by Sky, Bayern are still very interested in Jeremie Frimpong from league rivals Bayer Leverkusen.
„Very, very hot candidate“
With 20 scoring points in 30 games, Frimpong is one of the top performers for the Werkself. His contract at Leverkusen runs until 2028, but a departure in the summer is not out of the question. According to Sky, the Dutch international has an exit clause of €40-45 million. His current market value is estimated at 50 million euros by Transfermarkt.
According to transfer insider Florian Plettenberg, a lot depends on the new Bayern coach and his ideas for the right side of defence. But one thing is clear: if the new FCB coach is Xabi Alonso, Frimpong could become „a very, very hot candidate“ at Säbener Straße, despite Boey & Co.
In addition to Bayern, there are many other interested parties for Frimpong. A number of top clubs, particularly in the English Premier League, have the Dutchman on their radar. These include FC Arsenal and Manchester United in particular.
