Max Eberl was introduced in Munich on Tuesday, and three days later he will be sitting on the Munich bench for the first time as the German record champions‘ sporting director at the away game in Freiburg.

„We know what is possible in football“

Eberl will be in charge of the sporting reorganisation at FC Bayern in the summer. However, the experienced Bundesliga manager makes it clear that he has not yet written off the current season, even if they are well behind in the table: „We are eight points behind Leverkusen. But we know what is possible in football. We want to put Leverkusen under pressure with a win and then we’ll see what else is possible in the coming months,“ he emphasised in an interview with DAZN ahead of the game in Freiburg.
