The rumors surrounding Casemiro’s possible departure from Manchester United continue to gather pace. The Brazilian midfielder, who only moved to United from Real Madrid last year, could leave the club as early as January.
According to the English newspaper Daily Express, Casemiro, whose form this season has been hampered by injuries, faces an uncertain winter at Manchester United.
With an estimated market value of 40 million euros and a contract until 2026, he is no bargain. However, United could be open to negotiations for the powerful midfielder in order to create financial leeway for new transfers. The Brazilian has also reportedly signaled his willingness to leave the traditional English club in the winter transfer window.
Casemiro apparently not currently a primary transfer target
FC Bayern Munich, who were already rumored to be interested in Casemiro in the spring, could benefit from this situation. Coach Thomas Tuchel is considered an admirer of Casemiro’s abilities. He has been looking for reinforcements in defensive midfield since his tenure. However, Sky reported that there are currently no negotiations between Bayern and Manchester United and Casemiro is not considered a primary transfer target for the winter.
Nevertheless, the possibility of an offer from Bayern for Casemiro remains open. Given his impressive record at Real Madrid, including five Champions League titles, he could be exactly the type of player Bayern are looking for in their central midfield.
