Erling Haaland has reported fit in time for the Champions League duel against FC Bayern. The Norwegian has been struggling with a groin injury in recent weeks. The 22-year-old striker has been in top form this season and is considered a key player for Manchester City in the CL clash against Bayern. Nevertheless, the attacker has a weakness, as Kingsley Coman has now made clear.
With 44 goals in 38 games, Erling Haaland is having a fabulous season for the Skyblues. The powerful striker is smashing everything into the ground. Whether in the English Premier League (30 goals) or in the top flight (10 goals) – Haaland is scoring like on the assembly line.
According to Bayern star Kingsley Coman, City has become even stronger with the signing of Haaland last summer: „City plays good football, like all of Pep Guardiola’s teams. With Haaland, they can now play even more in depth. They have a lot of strong players on the wings.“ From the Frenchman’s point of view, Manchester is „a very complete team“, just like the record champions.
Haaland is fighting his Bayern curse
Coman has great respect for Haaland, but no fear. The 26-year-old referred to the Norwegian’s personal record in duels against Bayern. So far, his record has been very mixed. Haaland has played seven games against the FCB to date and has not won any of them. With BVB, there have been five defeats in the Bundesliga and two defeats in the Super Cup. Haaland was only able to celebrate once against Bayern last summer, when he scored against City in a test match for a 1:0 victory.
