The „BILD“ reported on Friday that there was a discussion between Julian Nagelsmann and Manuel Neuer this week, thus creating a basis for further cooperation.

The head coach of Munich confirmed that there was a conversation with the goalkeeper, but the interview of Neuer were not part of it: „The debate was not about the interview. You don’t believe me, right. Everything we discuss internally with the players also stays within the club.“

„Currently, Manuel Neuer is the captain of the team“.

According to Nagelsmann, it would be desirable if a little more calm returned to FC Bayern and also to Manuel Neuer: „The recovery of the body is also influenced by the head, so it is also important for Manuel to bury this issue.“

Nagelsmann did not really want to comment on the rumors about a possible removal as Bayern captain: „Currently, Manuel Neuer is captain of the team. Before every season, it’s like this, that I decide with my colleagues whether I determine the captaincy or let it be elected. So much happens between now and the new year.“
