At just 19 years of age, Jamal Musiala has developed into an absolute top performer at FC Bayern. The offensive player is now a permanent fixture under Julian Nagelsmann and is expected to become the new figurehead of the German record champion in the future. According to current media reports, Musiala has a new contract at FCB that could make him a top earner at the Isar.

Even if Musiala is still contractually bound to Bayern until 2026 and those responsible are certainly not likely to panic in view of the long remaining term, they are already working in Munich on a contract extension with the German international.

The reasons for this are obvious: as „SPORT1“ reports, the Bayern bosses see Musiala as an absolutely key player for the club and would like to retain him for as long as possible and ideally shape him into the new face of the record champion.

Strong performances to be financially rewarded

With 24 goals in 27 appearances this season, Musiala is not only FC Bayern’s top player, the 19-year-old is already one of the best offensive players in Europe’s top leagues. Reports keep making the rounds that clubs like Real Madrid or FC Liverpool are already lurking around Musiala, waiting for the right moment to snap him up.

This is precisely the scenario that Bayern wants to prevent. According to „SPORT1“ information, there is a firm intention at Säbener Straße to reward Musiala financially for his strong performances. This is to take place within the framework of a contract extension.

According to the TV station, the DFB star is in line for a new „mega contract“ at FC Bayern. Concrete figures are not known to date. According to rumors, Musiala currently earns up to eight million euros per year. In the event of an extension, this sum would increase significantly.

Whether Musiala could match the top earners such as Sadio Mané, Thomas Müller or Manuel Neuer, who are all said to earn 20 million euros or more, is an open question. What is clear, however, is that the youngster would make a decent jump up the Bayern salary rankings. With his current salary, Musiala is not in the top 10.
