FC Bayern has managed a real bargain in signing João Cancelo for the second half of the season.
As sports director Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed to „Bild“ football chief Christian Falk, no loan fee flowed for the Portuguese outside defender in the direction of Manchester City. Because of the „network“ this coup was successful. Accordingly, Bayern „only“ has to pay the salary until the end of the season, which is around 15 million euros gross per year. Thus, the fees of the record champion are about 7 million euros.
Will Bayern pull their purchase option on Cancelo?
At the end of the season the German record champion also has a purchase option for the 28-year-old world-class player in the amount of 70 million euros. According to consistent media reports, however, the sum is negotiable. According to these reports, the Portuguese could be available for much less.
In his first two games for Bayern, Cancelo was already able to record two assists and thus convinced right away.
