After amazing year and a half in AS Monaco, Alexander Nübel showed why Bayern were so keen to sign him in Summer of 2020 as their long term replacement for Manuel Neuer.
Even though both goalkeeper and his agent are aware of Bayern’s plans, they are still not fully satisfied knowing the fact that Neuer is still on high level, and that the club has an interest of extending his deal beyond 2024.
Hasan Salihamidžić and Marco Neppe have traveled to France and had a conversation with the agent Stefan Backs who represents Nubel. As reported by „Bild“, 26-year old keeper has ruled out a return to Bayern if Manuel Neuer is still in the club, but the club is fully convinced of his qualities and they are preparing a big round of convincing for German International which will not be easy.
Later today, agent Backs had an interview with „Sport1“ in which he said this:
„That’s a completely normal process. They’re watching their player on site and his development here, I can only say that.“
Nübel has contract with Bayern until summer of 2025 and next one will likely be the deciding one for his future in Bavarian giant.
