Today’s German Cup draw in the city of Dortmund has revealed the next fixtures for the second round.
After the convincing 0-5 victory against Viktoria Koln, the Sunday’s draw at 17:10 CEST would finally determine the next fixtures for the qualifiers.
The Bavarians were picked to face the next opponent away from home once again, this time within the Bavarian region. Bayern will face FC Augsburg in the Bavarian derby match.
In the coming days, the precise dates for the teams and their DFB Pokal matches will be determined. The matches will be played on 18th and 19th October.
The Bavarian clubs have met each other four times in the German cup, where Bayern have won all of the games. The last time Bayern faced Augsburg was exactly in the second round of 2016-17 season of DFB Pokal. Bayern won the game 3-1.
