Joshua Zirkzee’s future at Bayern Munich is still open and there have been numerous speculations and rumors about a possible farewell in the summer. Recently it’s been reported that Ajax Amsterdam have inquired about the 21-year-old striker.
At the end of April, the first reports circulated that Ajax are interested in Joshua Zirkzee. According to Dutch transfer insider Mike Verweij, Ajax has now contacted FC Bayern and expressed an interest in Zirkzee.
With 31 goals in 47 games, the young attacker made a strong impression at RSC Anderlecht last season. Lately, Sport1 reported that Bayern are considering giving Zirkzee one more chance to prove himself. If Zirkzee succeeds, he would be offered a contract extension. His current contract expires in 2023.
According to Verweij, Bayern are also open to a sale if an attractive offer is received. Rumor has it that Bayern want more than 10 million euros for the Dutchman.
Julian Nagelsmann will not make a rushed decision about Zirkzee and will first wait for the pre-season and possibly the first games in the new season. Joshua Zirkzee himself has expressed his desire to leave Bayern due to lack of playing time, although recently, he hinted on staying at Bayern, depending on how the situation would develop.
