In the competition for Andreas Christensen, Bayern Munich were recently beaten by FC Barcelona. According to reports, Noussair Mazraoui has now become another player who has opted for Barcelona instead of Bayern.
In their search for a new right-back, Bayern have recently targeted Ajax player Noussair Mazraoui. The 24-year-old Moroccan’s contract expires this season and would ideally fit the Bayern’s team’s profile.
As transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reported last week, Bayern have already met Mazraoui’s agent Mino Raiola about a move in the summer. So far, there has not been a concrete offer from Bayern, and it looks like they are but slowly losing another good right-back candidate.
Mazraoui has chosen Barcelona
As the Spanish „SPORT“ reports , the 24-year-old Moroccan has already made a decision. The defender would like to continue his career next summer at FC Barcelona. According to the outlet, Mazraoui has turned down all other offers he had on the table. Talks between Barcelona and the player side are well advanced and should be concluded in the near future.
It will be exciting to see whether the subject of Sergino Dest could become serious again FC Bayern as a result of Mazraoui’s transfer. Barcelona would have three players available for the right-back position in Dest, Mazraoui and the veteran Dani Alves.
