Now it’s official! Adrian Fein leaves FC Bayern and moves to the league rival Greuther Fürth. This was announced by the Bavarians on Wednesday.
The transfer of Fein to Fürth has been indicated for some tim. As the FCB officially announced, the 22-year-old midfielder moves on loan to Greuter Fürth.
Fein to gain match practice in the Bundesliga
Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic had the following to say about the transfer: “Adrian has shown his qualities at PSV Eindhoven, Hamburger SV and Regensburg and has developed very well. The fact that he can now play for SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the Bundesliga makes us very happy and also confirms the path we are taking together with Adrian.”
Fein himself is looking forward to the new challenge with Fürth: “It was clear to me that I wanted to come to Fürth, and I’m pleased that it worked out before the training camp. It’s important now that I have the chance to play regularly, and I want to seize that opportunity here. I’ve heard a lot of positive things from the team and the club and I’m now looking forward to getting to know everyone and then starting the Bundesliga season together.”
The FCB talent made the jump to the pros in 2019. However, the midfielder has not played a single Bundesliga game for FCB. In recent years, the Munich native has been loaned out to Jahn Regensburg, HSV and most recently PSV Eindhoven. The midfielder is still contractually bound to the record champion until 2023.
