Hansi Flick and his Bayern Munich side are facing a potential defensive crisis heading into the crunch clash with RB Leipzig.
Young defender Alphonso Davies picked up a red card for what can only be described as a loose challenge during the opening minutes of his sides 4-0 win over Stuttgart. Because it was a straight red, Davies will now miss the next two Bundesliga matches, RB Leipzig and Union Berlin. Both Davies and Bayern have accepted the two-match ban and will not be appealing it.
As a young player, this will be a learning curve for Davies who has not really put a foot wrong since landing in Bavaria and he will now not be on the pitch on April 3 against RB Leipzig in what is a crucial match in his sides domestic chase for glory.
With Davies and Boateng suspended against Leipzig, the back 4 will therefore be Pavard-Süle-Alaba-Hernández, as long as there are no injuries during the international break [Kicker]

I have a feeling that Luca Hernandez will be slotted into the left-back role to replace Davies as he has been more than serviceable this season. David Alaba is reportedly going to slot into the heart of the Bayern defense, next to Niklas Sule with Jerome Boateng suspended for the Leipzig clash after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign against VfB Stuttgart.
A crucial match in the title race
In what is shaping as a defining day in the Bundesliga title race, Bayern could be a little thin at the back, but you would be a fool to bet against them. Currently holding a four-point lead over second-placed Leipzig, Bayern just has to avoid defeat to really put their title destiny in their hands.
