Bayern Munich is already looking for a new right-back and according to Nico Schira, a €25 million bid for Dodo from Shakhtar Donetsk was firmly rejected.
The 22-year-old right-back has clearly been earmarked to offer competition for Benjamin Pavard and if this is found to be true, then a €25 million bid for a depth player is rather a worrying amount of money to spend on a player who might not be playing week in and week out.
Assistant Sports Director #Shakhtar Carlo #Nicolini: “We have rejected #BayernMunich’s bid (€25M) for #Dodò. #Taison will leave at the end of the season. We have talked with #Palmeiras for #GabrielVeron. Two #SerieA clubs are looking #Trubin”. More 👇🏻https://t.co/8pQAUOMTam

Perhaps the main reason that Bayern seems so hellbent on securing a new right-back is the fact the Bouna Sarr has severely underwhelmed when given opportunities this season and that has forced Flick to play Niklas Sule out of position instead of Sarr.
Depth is good for any team and if the signature of Dodo is secured, then perhaps he will push Pavard to even greater heights and the Frenchman can play in the centre of defense if needed too.
It seems clear that Bayern wants Dodo next season and a €25 million bid sure is a lot of money to spend on a depth player but one this is for certain if Bayern wants a player, more often than not they get their man in the end.
