Hansi Flick and his Bayern Munich side have drawn Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals in what is a rematch of the final last season.

This presents PSG with the perfect opportunity to get revenge on their German opponents after succumbing to them by a solitary goal from former player Kingsley Coman in the Lisbon final.

PSG is a different beast this campaign with Mauricio Pochettino at the wheel and the evidence was there to see when they dismantled Barcelona 4-1 in their Round of 16 clash and with players like Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, Bayern’s leaky defense will have its work cut out.

The first leg of this tie will be at home for Bayern and some believe that this is a huge disadvantage given that it will be harder to come from behind in the return leg, however, we all know how lethal the Bavarians attack is so that should no worry them too much.

The other ties are juicy as well with Borussia Dortmund to face Pep Guardiola and Manchester City, Liverpool with play Real Madrid in what is yet another previous final clash (2019), and lastly, Chelsea face FC Porto.

Clearly, Bayern v PSG is the standout fixture of the quarter-finals and I for one am looking forward to seeing how the tie pans out. We wait with anticipation.
