The 20-year-old star is thought to be the next Dortmund star to make his way to the Bundesliga champions.
Could you imagine Erling Haaland joining forces with Robert Lewandowski? Well, Hansi Flick has not completely dismissed the idea of the Norwegian striker following Lewandowski’s steps in swapping Dortmund for Bayern Munich.
Haaland is widely regarded as the best young talent in world football and is currently one of the hottest prospects on the planet. Should teams come calling, Bayern will be in a position to sign Haaland if Dortmund decides to cash in on their young superstar.
Lewandowski made the infamous move to Bavaria from Dortmund in 2014 and has propelled himself into contention as one of the best players on the planet and Haaland is thought to be the perfect replacement when Lewandowski calls time on his Bayern career or even a potential partnership with the Polish striker could materialize.
Hansi Flick spoke to Sky Germany before the clash with Dortmund and was asked if he could see Haaland suiting up for his side in the near future.
“Very, very much is possible in life, nothing can be ruled out.
“But that is a long way off. He has a long-term contract in Dortmund and is an option for many top clubs.”
Nearly every top club had been linked with Haaland in recent times as he has scored an incredible 27 goals in just 27 matches this campaign and added another two against Bayern in his sides 4-2 loss on Saturday.

Money could be an issue for a host of clubs with Haaland’s released clause currently set at £67 million ($92m) which comes into play next season, however, should Dortmund be looking to cash in on Haaland, they could demand a much higher fee.
Champions League football critical for Dortmund
Currently in the sixth position after their loss to Bayern, if Dortmund misses out on Champions League football then the willingness to cash in on their prodigy could intensify.
Bayern will clearly be interested in his services and Haaland would join a long list of Dortmund players swapping the Signal Iduna Park for the Allianz.
Given the current financial situation of most clubs due to COVID-19, it is likely that only a select few will have the capability to sign him.
Should Haaland see his future elsewhere in the summer, could you imagine him linking up with Bayern and Lewandowski? My word that would be a scary proposition with the youngster learning off the best in the world.
You could nearly hand them the Bundesliga and Champions League titles on the day he signs and given Flick’s response we very well could see Haaland suiting up for Bayern sooner rather than later.
